ENT Specialist
Dr Indu Gunawardena MBBS (Syd) FRACS (ORL–HNS) is a highly trained and qualified Ear Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgeon servicing the Central Coast and Mid North Coast communities of New South Wales. Her surgical experience covers ear, nose, throat, head and neck.
In addition to being an ENT specialist, Dr Indu Gunawardena also performs allergy testing and provides treatment for these conditions as well as offering full audiology services including hearing testing and in office endoscopy.
Dr Gunawardena sees paediatric and adult patients, and has special interests in:
- Pediatric ENT disorders – including treatment of tonsillitis and adenoids, sleep apnoea, ear infections, grommets and allergies
- Hearing loss and ear infections
- Hayfever and sinus disease
- Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and nasal disorders
- Snoring and sleep apnoea for adults
- Head and neck cancers
- Ear disorders – including deafness, dizziness, vertigo, tinnitus, infections, benign and malignant tumours
- Thyroid and parathyroid treatment
- Voice disorders
Dr Gunawardena provides consulting services at Gosford and Woongarrah and operates at Gosford Private Hospital, Tuggerah Private Hospital and Gosford Public Hospital. She is a visiting medical officer (VMO) at Gosford District Hospital and Conjoint Senior Lecturer with the University of Newcastle.
